The treatment process was selected in part because it requires relatively little mechanical equipment. Noise reduction measures include locating pumps and equipment below ground, constructing insulated buildings, adding sound attenuation materials, and eliminating a standby generator to reduce noise. The facility is expected to have very limited operational noise once complete.
